1965 Ferrari 500 Superfast

The very cool 1965 Ferrari 500 Superfast was shown at the Chicago Auto Show in 1965 and only 36 were made. Now I know that the MGB GT cost around $3,000 in 1967 which really was a decent chunk of money. Many cars were about $2,000 or so at the time. What is my MGB GT worth now? Likely about $5,000 or so, after a full restoration maybe $20,000.

Maybe my dad should have bought this Ferrari instead. This 1965 Ferrari 500 Superfast was advertised in the November 1973 Road & Track magazine. Absolutely mint condition and even a stereo radio. How cool is that. Asking price was $12,500.

Warp speed ahead to 2013 and a Ferrari 500 Superfast came up for sale at auction. This great looking car brought in a cool $1,980,000. Yeah, almost 2 million bucks. Was that ever a good investment.
