The 1967 MGB GT got new tires again at about 27,000 miles. I’m not sure whether the Pirelli tires were wearing out as planned or perhaps my father was driving the crap out of them but 2 sets of Pirelli’s lasted only 27,000 miles. Maybe this is why he switched to Michelin ZX tires this time. A trip to Timmons and Prosser in Pasadena on May 20th, 1972 put new boots on the car.
What I dig about these purchases is that the tire guys don’t charge for balancing, it’s just part of the price. No charge for balancing, no recycling fees, just a few taxes, this was California, home of the tax addons.
