I’m at the point with the 1967 MGB GT where it’s running well, the generator isn’t charging and with the upcoming winter I’m trying to do as much as possible to clean the car up before putting it in storage until the end of March. I’m going to slowly work on the MG during the winter, more dealing with electrical issues and other gremlins.
I decided that the painted wire wheels could use a good cleaning as they are pretty bad. There is some rust coming through but overall they are in pretty good shape. While these aren’t exactly detailed the improvement is impressive.
During the winter I’ll likely finish them off. I’ve read somewhere that wire wheel detailing is about 4 hours per rim, I can see that after starting.
