Cleaning under the hood of the MGB GT

One aspect of working on my 1967 MGB GT that I’m really enjoying is cleaning off 49 years of dirt from many of the interior surfaces. In many ways I’m surprised at how clean the MG is after 49 years of heat, rain, oil venting and leaking and who knows what else. I’ve been slowly cleaning the bottom side of the hood where oil has accumulated. It’s very satisfying what a few minutes of Goo Gone will do. After this a little rubbing compound and a polish and it all looks good again.

Time to look at getting some new insulation!
