I have an ongoing fight with the deer on my property but that doesn’t mean I don’t want them to be alive. Last year two deer, an adult and a fawn died in the forest in front of my house. Poor little deer. This is what the older one looks like now.

My niece and nephew are coming out from Pittsburgh for Christmas and what better way to keep them entertained than building a few deer skeletons. Just like the old plastic models of old but these will be full size. Time to put the deer skeleton in a box and take it into the barn for a restoration.

It’s funny to look at tables of MGB parts next to piles of bones but everything is there for the same reason, to be reassembled into a fully functional unit. It’s amazing how similar the white tail deer suspension parts are to the MGB GT’s. I’m certain more similarities will turn up in the future. Hopefully I won’t swap pieces by accident.

What will the deer skeleton look like when we’re finished? Hopefully a little more accurate than the critters below.

Of course, if we really get it wrong it could look like this. What colour should we paint our new project? Sandy beige?
