Do you see a Triumph TR7?

I always felt the the wedge-shaped Triumph TR7 coupe just wasn’t a very pretty car. The MG MGB GT had nice proportions and curves, the TR7 looked as though it was made out of a wedge of cheese. I suppose this was the style at the time however as the Lotus Esprit had made a stunning debut a few years earlier. Unfortunately Lotus got it right but Triumph didn’t.

No issue though, we can still sell a car, right? It’s no wonder that this publicity shot was photographed the way it was. What do you see? the gal on the right or the ugly car? I’m thinking maybe the Triumph TR7 is only there as an extra.

Triumph TR7 publicity photo, or is it a photo of the women?
