Elon Musk’s Tesla Roadster and the trip to Mars

Elon Musk does seem to be serious about sending his personal red Tesla Roadster to Mars as this photo shows. Is this photo legit? I really have no idea but they do require a payload so why not.

We do know that the Tesla Roadster won’t be deposited on the Martian surface but the whole idea is pretty neat. When we colonize the planet why not have some sporty car to drive, I mean, living on another planet is supposed to be fun isn’t it?

Back in the Apollo days the astronauts had great fun with their lunar buggies but somehow I think doing doughnuts on Mars in the Tesla would be a real hoot. Bring it on!
