For a number of years and hopefully again in 2017 (More information on the 2017 event) I’ve been fortunate to be able to attend the Portland Vintage Racing Festival at the excellent Portland International Raceway. This is one cool event with great on track action and a chance to wander through the paddock and view some amazing racing machinery from past years. Everything from MGBs and Austin Minis to powerful sports racing cars like the Porsche 962 make appearances. My favourite? The formula cars where Lotus, Brabham, Tyrrell, Lola and others produced beautiful racing cars in the 60’s and 70’s.
I always photograph the event so here’s a look at some of the British cars that have taken part. And, if you do get bored with looking at old cars there are some very attractive women.
