I previously installed the Noico 80 mil Sound deadening mat in my Lotus Europa and was very impressed with the product. While not exactly inexpensive the product seems to be a good value, especially compared to DynaMat.
The original gooey tar? based sound deadening material on the MGB is in surprisingly good condition so I decided to leave it where it is and just added a layer of Noico on top.
One area I concentrated on is the transmission tunnel as I’ve noticed this area can get very hot during summer driving. My plan is to cover the complete interior.
Next step is to install the Noico closed cell sound deadening material. On my Lotus this has made a huge difference in both the noise level and the heat buildup.
