In the previous post about my MGB thermostat housing problems I showed images of my aluminum thermostat housing that has a hairline fracture in it. Here’s another photo of the crack.
While the idea of repairing this housing wasn’t my number one option it has proven to be the only option at this point. JB Weld to the rescue. Will this work? I really have no idea. I used J.B Weld on my Lotus Europa gas tank and it held up for a few months. If this repair holds up for 2 hours I will be thrilled as a new part will be purchased and I just want to test run the engine. We will see!
