Mercedes Benz “Blue Wonder” Racing Car Transporter 1955

The Mercedes Benz racing department used this cool transporter, called the “Blue Wonder”, to chauffeur its racing cars to tracks in 1955. It had a top speed of 108 MPH, important if you are running all over Europe racing your successful cars.

The original was destroyed but a few copies have been made. The most accurate reproduction is at the Mercedes Benz Museum in Stuttgart. Of course, Jay Leno has to have another copy. Here’s a great video of Jay Leno taking it for a drive.
