My MGB GT is getting to the stage in her restoration that many of the projects are quick and more bling than mechanical. One of today’s jobs was to reinstall the MGB 18V engine identification plate. I was debating whether I should use the 18GB plate form the original engine or the 18V plate from the new engine that I rebuilt. This engine is a bit of a hybrid with parts from both but the 18V block number won, partly because it’s in better shape.
Even though it’s a very small part of the whole job it certainly makes me believe that the MG is almost finished or at least road worthy again. What a difference from what the engine looked like before and now.
