I was somewhat surprised how easily the MGB suspension came apart. I expected after close to 50 years of wet weather, lots of crud and 135,000 miles of abuse that everything would be glued together in a completely rusted chunk. Fortunately I was wrong.

One of the shocks isn’t working very well, hopefully this is due to low oil and nothing else as they aren’t cheap to replace. The suspension bushings are history but I already knew this, the main reason for disassembling the whole mess in the first place.

Other good news…. the king pins appear to be in great shape. I did buy new king pins but it sounds like a real PITA to ream out the bushings and install them so perhaps the old ones will do for now.

My biggest issue now is finding places to put all the parts. My shop is growing smaller by the week!
