So what’s happening with the MGB GT restoration? Well, with spring finally here and gardening and boating season in full swing the MG restoration has slowed down a little.
We have been using our 61 year old lobster boat most weeks and with the spring maintenance that old boats require this has kept us busy. One item I have been working on is reading assembly manuals and other technical stuff with the plan of putting the MGB GT back together this summer. It looks like I’ll be able to get back to work on the car in about 10 days.
My goal is to have the GT running again by fall although I may not license it until next spring. It’s going to take longer than I wanted to finish the restoration but I’m doing a more thorough job than I originally planned. The key is getting all the parts painted before bad weather hits again.

We have also been working on our property as gardening season is here and we have a huge garden. As an added bonus, I decided to remove my ugly concrete deck and move a large ornamental maple tree that has always spoiled our view of the property and the mountains. Lots of cleanup to do but what a difference.
