After looking at these rusty and deteriorating side/flasher lamps for a few weeks I decided to remove them and see how bad they really are. They are pretty bad! The bases are very rusty, one of them even completely rusted through in areas. Both lenses are cracked and one is missing a few chunks. It’s tempting to buy a few new ones from Moss Motors as they cost less than $30 each but that wouldn’t be fun.
I started cleaning them up yesterday and will resurrect them for more years to come, likely not very smart but at least they are original.
