Luke Anthony, Pacific Coast Scuba Diver – A special breed of man. Who is this guy anyway? We do know that he owns a beautiful 1964 MGB roadster that has a large enough trunk to carry scuba gear down to the rocky California coast. We know he’s tough as he doesn’t appear to be wearing very warm clothes on what looks like a pretty ugly windy misty day. He also has a very tough girlfriend that is trying to get a tan sitting on the trunk of this beautiful MGB roadster.

It’s fun to do a Google search for Luke Anthony, Pacific Coast Scuba Diver, nothing really turns up. Oh well.

I’m not sure what it was with car manufacturers and scuba diving in the 1960’s. I suppose scuba diving was a relatively new sport at the time only undertaken by brave men. The type of man that would drive a nice car and attract a very pretty girlfriend. Certainly many of the car companies in both North America and Europe took advantage of the new sport and ran some pretty amazing ads with pretty amazing women.

And yeah, I know that the Coppertone ad doesn’t even have a car in it and has nothing to do with cars but… Julie Newmar sure looks hot! Now who’s Julie Newmar?
