I’m finally beginning to feel like something is happening with my MGB GT restoration. Spring is finally here and parts are making there way down to the barn.
Today I test fit the Moss Motors Special Tuning Spoiler to my GT. Having stiffened the spoiler with a layer of fiberglass cloth I thought that it might not wrap around as easily and I was correct about this. The spoiler as it came from Moss Motors was quite easy to bend and wrap around the front of the MGB and as you can see in the out of focus image below the spoiler does need to be bent.

A couple c-clamps solved this problem and fortunately the fiberglass is still flexible enough. I was concerned about this but all looks good. There is no flex at all, whether this is good when I hit a curb hopefully I’ll never know.

The photo below shows how the spoiler is lining up with the fender area. I don’t know whether I will add some fiberglass so the valance will line up smoother, certainly the original didn’t line up very well either!

Overall I think the new spoiler looks great. Can’t wait to permanently install it and get it painted.
