The sad death of Riverside International Raceway

It’s sad what has happened to many of North America’s best racetracks. I was fortunate to spend many weekends at Riverside International Raceway during the peak period of Southern California motorsports. Riverside International Raceway was in operation from September 1957 to 1989 and hosted everything from the mighty Can Am series to USAC and NASCAR as well as club racing. Check out the track map below and get ready for a depressing scene that is happening all over the world. At least we have memories.
