For some strange reason I still haven’t installed my MGB GT’s front splash panels. Well, that’s going to change. I cleaned out the wheel wells and the painted splash panels are ready to install. This is what they looked like when I first started working on the car.
The splash panels cleaned up really well although the 50 year old rubber seal is completely shot. Fortunately new seals are available so I purchased 2 and the split pins to install them.
I painted the panels with the undercoating that I’ve been using on both the MGB and my Lotus Europa. The rubberized coating goes on beautifully with a nice texture. These will look fantastic.
