What a bummer to crash test MG’s

Yeah, I know they have to do it and it’s a good idea but, what a bummer totally destroying perfectly good cars. On the other hand, if you drive one of these old MG relics it’s nice to know that the crumple zones actually work fairly well.

The MGB GT V8 crash below is the result of a 30mph hit and has certainly held up fairly well. Looking at the damage on the other MG’s it looks like somewhere around a 30mph crash as well. I feel safer already!

For a completely different way of doing a crash test check out the bottom photos of Porsche drop testing their beautiful Porsche 904. Talk about total bummer, the 904’s are one of the prettiest Porsche’s ever made and are now fetching well over $1,000,000 at auction. I wonder what happened to this particular car?
